❀ Has a very poor opinion of Lavis due to her dislike for her own and the fact most of them are guys who get distracted with her appearance.

❀ Sometimes she likes to hum or sing when she's completely alone.

❀ Due to her job she speaks a number of languages enough for basic communication. She's not near fluent in any of them but English, and to a lesser extent Chinese.

❀ Is more of a dirty fighter than canon Kanda, particularly in brawls with Elaine.

❀ Sometimes she wears more risque underwear and inwardly laughs that anybody who would be interested in seeing her in it can't. She has an odd sense of vindictiveness. That, and lighter underwear is easier to move in.

❀ Never wears make up. She doesn't think she needs to since her healing deals with all blemishes caused to her body.

❀ Binds her chest with bandages when she's on missions, both to keep them out of the way and because all of that jumping around and getting hit can get painful on them.

❀ Kind of a romantic, even before Lavi started courting her (though he's rubbing off even more). Things like private walks together appeal to her. she still thinks Lavi's romance novels are trash, though, but she won't tell him.

❀ Bikevi was the only exception to her usual prejudice to Lavis.

❀ Developed a relationship with a AU!Lavi, and made a promise with him to be committed (after many months of him courting her and wedging his way in).

❀ Has a promise ring to symbolize said commitment (Lavi has one too).

❀ He enjoyed putting makeup on her whenever she had to actually dress up.

❀ Acts more "moved on" from Alma than she really is. She's let go of her and moved on with her life beyond just that promise and her past weighing her down, but she's not as willing to talk about her and is more resistant about the concept of reconciliation with someone who is gone. This is mainly because she's not sure how to coincide her relationships with her/That Person and with Lavi. Alma's far from a missing force in her life, though.

❀ Note: these differences relate to my own interpretation of Kanda and not just fact.

❀ Being female and at a young age (and good looking) for much of her time as an Exorcist resulted in a higher degree of sexual harassment while out on missions. She's been able to beat them back effectively, but as a result she isn't comfortable with attention drawn to her appearance (or sex).

❀ She hates feeling objectified (sexually or otherwise) and it's a button that makes her lash out more strongly. She's more paranoid of people seeing her this way and gets more suspicious of people's behavior and motivations.

❀ She's also not as obtuse to flirting and intent, though she doesn't respond to it well.

❀ She's more domineering--if she doesn't feel she's in a position where she's in control or could get control if she wanted she gets very uncomfortable, tense, and defensive (this mostly applies to situations with other people, rather than locational/duty-oriented).

❀ Has a higher degree of self-esteem, even before the events of the Alma arc. She defines herself as a person first and foremost--being an Exorcist is simply her job.

❀ More aware of her emotions (and more frequently in a state of stress and defensiveness) as a whole compared to canon (which actually doesn't say a whole lot). This actually makes her stronger emotionally as she has more experience handling her feelings, and she doesn't let them drive her as much over rationality.

❀ She's more aware of her attractiveness and actually has a level of attachment to it (she did have influences like Jerry and female finders try to encourage her to be more girly and try it out, to varying levels of success)--but problems with being objectified with it have made her very private about dressing up and showing it off. Since she generally has no reason to it tends to be more of a wistful desire.

❀ Her behavior is more of an active defense to keep people away than just being a side effect of her personality. She's still kind of apathetic and rude with poor social skills, but she actively pushes this kind of behavior as a front.
